On 14th August 2018, we were happy to announce that a leading online newspaper in Nigeria – THE SIGNAL has joined us to fight cancer. Yesterday, our Executive Director, Dr. Laz Ude Eze signed a media partnership agreement with the Publisher, Mr. Ohimai Amaize. This partnership is necessary as it will aid our fundraising efforts and sponsorship of the treatment of cancer patients in Nigeria.
Pink Oak is a charity foundation working with other organizations to improve access to cancer care. Being an influential media organization that provides news and features articles to inform and educate Nigerians on socio-political, economic, cultural and health issues, THE SIGNAL newspaper will help to change the one-sided horrific narratives about cancer. The fact is that cancer can be treated and cured in Nigeria if detected and treated early.
Earlier, Dr. Eze had told his guest that Pink Oak and partners are already sponsoring a patient at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and plan to sponsor the treatment of 25 or more cancer patients before the end of the year. In his remarks, Mr. Amaize commended Pink Oak for mobilizing Nigerians to help people with cancer through financial donations.
