Become a Pink Oak Volunteer

The Pink Oak Cancer Trust (Pink Oak), Nigeria’s 1st Cancer Treatment Fund, provides an innovative approach to mobilizing funds for cancer diagnosis and treatment in Nigeria. We lead a harmonized and coordinated effort to create a pool of funds from corporations, private organizations, government and individuals and provide support to people with cancer who cannot afford treatment.

Pink Oak envisions a Nigeria where all cancer patients across the country are able to afford comprehensive and best possible quality of care in a timely manner. Our mission is to improve outcomes and increase survival rates of cancer patients in Nigeria by providing practical financial support and associated advocacy for people affected by the disease.  Our medium term goal is to raise at least N150 million to support the treatment of 50 or more people with breast cancer in 2018 and scale up the number and to other forms of cancer in subsequent years.

Pink Oak leverages international and national non-governmental organizations and key local leadership to drive ownership of cancer care in Nigeria and ensure that the people have access to the care they need to survive and thrive in the fight against cancer.

Volunteerism is a powerful means of engaging people in tackling development challenges, and it can transform the pace and nature of development. Volunteerism benefits both society at large and the individual volunteer by strengthening trust, solidarity and reciprocity among citizens, and by purposefully creating opportunities for participation.  Pink Oak is looking for passionate, vibrant and young individuals to volunteer in the following States as can be seen below.  These volunteer roles will be critical for the delivery of results for the Nigerian men and women with cancer.
